Legal
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to PaperInk — PDF Sign & Fill (the “App”), provided by Kseniya Adamchyk under the JFFapps name (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using PaperInk, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. App Store terms
PaperInk is licensed through Apple’s App Store. These Terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Apple Standard EULA”). If these Terms conflict with the Apple Standard EULA, the Apple Standard EULA controls to the extent of the conflict.
2. What PaperInk does
PaperInk provides tools to import, scan, view, annotate, sign, fill, and export PDF documents and images. Features may change as the App is improved. PaperInk is a document-editing tool; it is not a legal, notarial, identity-verification, trust-service, or certificate-authority service.
3. Your documents and responsibility
You retain responsibility for the documents and content you use with PaperInk. You represent that you have the necessary rights and authority to open, edit, sign, and share each document. You are responsible for:
- reviewing every page and confirming the accuracy and placement of text, dates, images, and signatures before export;
- keeping appropriate original files, backups, and final copies;
- protecting confidential or sensitive documents on your device and after sharing them;
- complying with applicable laws, contracts, court rules, retention requirements, and third-party rights.
4. Electronic signatures
A visual signature or mark created or placed with PaperInk is not a cryptographic digital certificate and does not by itself verify identity, intent, authority, document integrity, or signing time. Whether an electronic signature is valid or legally binding depends on the document, the parties, the signing process, and the applicable jurisdiction. Some documents may require witnesses, notarization, qualified or certificate-based signatures, or may not be eligible for electronic signing. PaperInk does not provide legal advice; consult a qualified professional when needed.
5. Free exports
The App may include a limited number of complimentary exports. The current offer provides three free successful exports per App installation or as otherwise displayed in the App. Reinstalling, restoring, or changing devices may not restore this promotional allowance. We may change free-use limits for future users or future App versions, subject to applicable law.
6. Subscriptions
PaperInk may offer monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The exact price, currency, billing period, trial eligibility, and included features are displayed in the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account after confirmation.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it through your Apple Account subscription settings.
- An eligible yearly subscription may include a three-day free trial. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, it converts to the paid yearly subscription at the price shown when you subscribed.
- Cancellation stops future renewals. Access normally continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Eligibility for trials and offers is determined by Apple and may be limited to one offer per subscription group.
7. Lifetime purchase
A “Lifetime” purchase is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the unlimited features identified in the App for the supported lifetime of PaperInk on compatible Apple platforms associated with the purchasing Apple Account. It does not guarantee that the App or any particular feature will be available forever, and it does not include separate future products or services unless explicitly stated.
8. Export credit packs
A “10 Exports” pack is a consumable in-app purchase providing ten additional successful exports as described in the App. One credit is deducted after an export is successfully created. Used consumable credits cannot be restored through Apple’s Restore Purchases function. Unused credits do not expire while the current App version and its local data remain available, but deleting the App or losing local data may remove the remaining balance.
9. Billing, cancellation, and refunds
Apple processes all purchases, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds. We do not control App Store billing. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Apple Account subscription settings. Refund requests are subject to Apple’s policies and applicable law and should be submitted to Apple.
10. Acceptable use
You may not use PaperInk to violate law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, impersonate another person, forge authorization, commit fraud, distribute malware, interfere with the App, bypass purchase or usage controls, or reverse engineer the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
11. Ownership and license
PaperInk, including its software, interface, visual design, and original content, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on supported Apple devices you own or control.
12. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how PaperInk handles information. Documents and signatures are designed to remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.
13. Availability and updates
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, compatibility, legal compliance, or product quality. The App may not be available in every location, language, device, or operating-system version. You are responsible for installing updates and maintaining a compatible device.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaperInk is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. We do not warrant that every document will render identically in all third-party viewers, that every signature will be legally effective, or that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, documents, business, profits, or legal rights arising from your use of or inability to use PaperInk. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for PaperInk during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by law.
16. Termination
You may stop using PaperInk at any time. Your license may terminate if you materially breach these Terms or the Apple Standard EULA. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and responsibility for your documents—will survive.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to PaperInk, purchases, or legal requirements. The effective date above will change when revised Terms are published. Where required, we will provide additional notice. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
